First president Kumezo Okabe founded Okabe Mica.

Manufacture of mica products for electrical insulation began.

Okabe Mica Co., Ltd was established.

Okabe Mica became an affiliate of Mitsubishi Electronics Co., Ltd.
September 1956
Osaka Sales Office was established.
October 1960
Manufacture of mica paper began at Miyata Plant.

The new Munakata Plant was built.
October 1961
Tokyo Sales Office was opened.
March 1981
Received the Manager Award from the public interest incorporated foundation for contributors to the Kyushu/Yamaguchi local economy.
May 1981
Received the Outstanding Suppliers Award of 1980 from USA General Electric Company.

Yataro Okabe became the president.
